With the season underway speculation continues regarding the possible signing of Joe Garner and Philippe Senderos.

With the influx of further television money into the English top tier, the prices of players in general have been inflated, with Scottish clubs now having to compete with teams well down the English league pyramid to sign players.
With the SPFL and SFA continuing to show little or no leadership in reviving the game north of the border, there seems little light at the end of the tunnel in terms of the finances of football in Scotland.
