Northern Ireland victory tinged with further tragedy

A much improved performance on Thursday saw Northern Ireland gain a deserved victory against Ukraine. The Ulstermen face the challenge of a game against Germany next, knowing that a win should see them progress to the knockout stages of the competition.

However the celebrations were overshadowed by the news that Northern Ireland fan Robert Rainey had suffered a heart attack in one of the stands, and passed away.

The tragedy followed the death of another Northern Ireland fan, Darren Rodgers, in an accident in the early hours of Monday.

Ouor thoughts are with Robert's family and friends at this sad time.
