Last man standing

England's loss to a reolute Icelandic team on Monday has left Wales as the last Home Nation still in the Euro 16 tournament.

A lacklustre performance from England saw their early lead quickly overhauled by an Iceland team that seemed sharper and more determined.

England's exit was quickly followed by the resignation of their manager, Roy Hodgson, who had guided England through 3 unsuccessful tournaments.

Speculation immediately started on over possible successors, with Gareth Southgate becoming an early front-runner.

One can only wonder how long it will be before the Scottish media start speculating on our own Mark Warburton as a possible candidate.

After all they seem strangely eager to see him leave his post at Rangers. I wonder why?
