Club 1872, the joint fan group for Rangers supporters, has urged Rangers fans not to buy replica kits until the Club clarifies the situation regarding the merchandising deal with Sports Direct and Rangers Retail.
The ongoing dispute over the contract has seen most fans boycott the replica kit, manufactured by Puma, and other merchandise covered by the deal.
The dispute has undoubtedly damaged the brand image of Sports Direct and Puma, and greatly reduced the revenue generated from sales.
Until an amicable resolution is reached there can be little doubt that the majority of Rangers fans will hold off from making any purchases.
